This collection consists of a wide variety of items dealing with the social and business life of New Orleans, La., from 1853-1933. Included are post cards, printed advertisements for products and events, printed invitations, concert and theater and programs, a pouch of presidential picture buttons, travel souvenir booklets, maps, correspondence, newspaper clippings, ribbons, pins, and photographs. Also included are commemorative pieces from world's fairs, including the World's Industrial and Cotton Centennial Exposition, 1884-1885, held in New Orleans.
